Skin cancer is the commonest cancer in the UK, affecting 1 in 5 people in their lifetime.  I was appointed a dermatology consultant in NNUH in May 2020 and my area of research is skin cancer epidemiology. In particular, using national cancer registry data to better understand the trends in skin cancer incidence and outcomes to inform clinical practice.  I am the dermatology clinical lead at the National Disease Registration Service (NDRS) and chair the British Association of Dermatologists and NDRS partnership.  I studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh where I also completed an m.med.sci (distinction).
